Board Nomination Deadline
Our newly revised bylaws allow electronic and mail balloting for board elections. Since we will be sending out ballots prior to our annual meeting in October, we want to have all board nominees on the ballot by September 10.
If you would like to nominate yourself to serve on the board, you must submit a biographical paragraph and photograph, as well as a short statement of intent to run, by Friday September 10 to Mac Lemann, Board Chair, at (mac@nolafoodcoop.org) mac (at) nolafoodcoop (dot) org. Potential candidates are encouraged to attend our next board meeting on Thursday August 26 at 517 S. Telemachus St. at 6 pm.
All board members will now serve for three-year terms. The upcoming October election will, however, stagger these terms from one to three years so that a whole new board is not elected each year, thereby creating more continuity and stability in co-op governance.
